Faculties

HEP works to strengthen the capacity of the 16 institutions offering four-year teacher education programs, as well as the professional skills of faculty teachers. These institutions are Kabul Education University, Kabul University, Herat University, Balkh University, Kandahar University, and Nangarhar University. HEP also works with smaller universities in Bamyan, Khost, Paktia, and Takhar, and teacher training institutes in Badakshan, Baghlan, Faryab, Jowzjan, Kunduz, and Parwan.

Featured Faculty: Herat

The Herat Faculty of Education is lead by a dynamic woman, Dean Aimak, who requires her instructors to take advantage of all HEP activities and training. The 48 instructors have all had Windows training and most have moved onto Word and Excel. They have spent weeks on Typing Tutor.

This group of instructors are progressing at a good pace and using the computer and internet for academic research and lesson planning. Click here for more...
