Faculties Faculties

HEP works to strengthen the capacity of the 16 institutions offering four-year teacher education programs, as well as the professional skills of faculty teachers. These institutions are Kabul Education University, Kabul University, Herat University, Balkh University, Kandahar University, and Nangarhar University. HEP also works with smaller universities in Bamyan, Khost, Paktia, and Takhar, and teacher training institutes in Badakhshan, Baghlan, Faryab, Jowzjan, Kunduz, and Parwan.

Featured Faculty: Kandahar Featured Faculty: Kandahar

Kandahar Education Faculty was established in 2001 and got start with 20 male students and 4 lecturers, but now it has 8 female and 211 male students with 25 lecturers in 8 different departments. This faculty consisted of Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Pashto Literature, Dari Literature, Islamic Culture and Sports departments.

 

Education faculty is located in the north of Kandahar city in the Kandahar University it has one study block and boys’ hostel. The Kandahar University has an administration, library and four faculties Medical, Engineering, Agriculture and Education. A new faculty of Islamic Law is going to be the part of the University next year. Click here to read more about this faculty of Education.
